1. Who we are
Trovio Technologies ("Trovio", "we", "our") operates trovio.app, providing travel eSIM services to Indian consumers. Our registered address is in Bangalore, India.
2. Information we collect
Account information: When you create an account or join the waitlist, we collect your name, email address, and mobile number.
Payment information: Payments are processed via UPI and our payment gateway partners (Razorpay). We do not store your UPI ID or bank details — these are handled entirely by the payment processor.
Device information: To provision your eSIM, we require your device's EID (embedded SIM identifier). This is used solely for eSIM activation and is not shared with third parties.
Usage data: We collect anonymised data on data usage (GB consumed, country, plan type) to improve our service and detect abuse.
Communications: If you contact us via email or WhatsApp, we retain those communications to provide support.
3. How we use your information
- To provision and activate your eSIM
- To process payments and issue receipts
- To send transactional emails (order confirmation, QR code delivery)
- To provide customer support
- To send product updates (you may unsubscribe at any time)
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Data sharing
We share your data only with:
- Local carrier partners — to activate your eSIM on their network (name and device EID only)
- Payment processors — Razorpay, for payment processing
- Cloud infrastructure — AWS (data stored in Mumbai region, India)
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. Data retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts are deleted after 2 years. You may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@trovio.app.
6. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@trovio.app.
7. Cookies
Trovio.app uses essential cookies for session management and analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand traffic patterns. You may opt out of analytics cookies via your browser settings.
